FKA Twigs lanza campaña en apoyo a trabajadoras sexuales

La cantante, bailarina y productora, FKA Twigs, ha lanzado la campaña GoFundMe en apoyo de las trabajadoras sexuales que se han enfrentado a la pérdida de ingresos a raíz de la pandemia de COVID-19.

En una publicación en Instagram, la artista de vanguardia compartió su propia experiencia en dicho oficio para resaltar la importancia de la causa, ademas, señaló que la iniciativa tiene como objetivo ayudar a desestigmatizar la profesión ante el castigo y rechazo del ojo público, trabajando en harás de la protección y los derechos para profesionales del sexo.

Tenía 19 años cuando aprendí mis primeros movimientos, aprendí un giro de gancho trasero de una stripper cuando trabajaba en un club de caballeros", dijo Twigs.

También detalló que en estos momentos de incertidumbre social es mejor rendir respeto por las trabajadoras sexuales; quienes también tienen disciplina, destrezas, talento y ética en su trabajo.

La campaña consiste en ayudar con donaciones en efectivo a las asociaciones SWARM, Lysistrata y ELSC quienes brindan apoyo financiero a strippers y trabajadoras sexuales a través de está web.

Está no es la primera ocasión que FKA Twigs se pronuncia en favor de las mujeres que se dedican al  streaptease o pole dance, ya que también se ha esforzado por visibilizar y normalizar al baile y las expresiones corpóreas como una manera de denotar e interpretar emociones.
